LiveCal

Wingfoil Conditions

Track a wind spot and LiveCal blocks out the hours worth rigging up — based on the hourly forecast and your own wind threshold. Name the spot and the conditions you ride in; a session window lands on your Google Calendar and updates as the forecast firms up.

How it works

Step 1

Describe it in plain English

Type what you want to track — a ticker, a flight number, a team, a store. No forms, no settings to learn.

Step 2

LiveCal puts it on your calendar

It resolves the details from public sources and creates the event on your Google Calendar, in your time zone.

Step 3

The event updates itself

As things change — times move, scores update, gates change — LiveCal keeps the event current until it's over.

Here's what it looks like on your calendar — it auto-updates as things change.

What the calendar event looks like

Open the event and you see the live state, the facts, and when it was last updated — the exact content LiveCal keeps current for you.

Frequently asked questions

How does LiveCal know when it'll be windy?+

It reads the hourly wind forecast for your spot and blocks out the hours that clear the threshold you set. As the forecast updates, the window on your calendar moves with it.

Can I set my own wind threshold?+

Yes — say it in plain English ("over 18 knots", "WNW 20+") and LiveCal only puts a session block on your calendar when the forecast meets it.

Is this a forecast or live readings?+

It's a forecast — hourly wind speed, direction, and gusts. Forecasts firm up as the day approaches, so the window may shift; LiveCal keeps your event in sync with the latest run.

Which spots work?+

Name a spot LiveCal can place — a beach, point, or launch — and it pulls the forecast for that location. Well-known spots resolve best; for an obscure launch, give the nearest town or coordinates.

Does it cover wind direction, not just speed?+

Yes. Many spots only work on a specific direction, so you can scope to it ("only when it's WNW") and LiveCal won't block out an off-direction day.

How do I stop tracking a spot?+

Open My LiveCal and tap Stop. The spot's session windows come off your calendar.
