Where LiveCal gets its data

For each kind of tracker, LiveCal prefers a small set of authoritative public sources. We’re cataloging the best source for every category so updates come from the same trusted places each time rather than a fresh open-web search per query. The table below shows where today’s data comes from and how often it refreshes.

CategoryPrimary sources
FlightsReal-time✗ Cataloging in progress
Earnings CallsDaily (announcement) + real-time (day-of)SEC EDGAR filings + investor-relations pages of the tracked ticker
Professional SportsReal-time during gamesESPN and official league schedules + score feeds
Concerts & MusicDailyVenue calendars, Bandsintown, Songkick
Corporate ConferencesWeekly + day-ofOfficial conference sites + investor-relations pages
Youth SportsPer-teamTeamSnap / GameChanger / AYSO when you provide a team URL; public web fallback otherwise
School CalendarsTerm-startDistrict and university public academic calendars
Sales AlertsDailyRetailer announcements + promotions pages
Wingfoil / Surfing / WaterskiComing soonHourlyOpen-Meteo forecast API (api.open-meteo.com — wind speed, direction, and gusts)

“Cataloging in progress” means we haven’t yet pinned a single authoritative feed for that category — LiveCal still finds the data, it just isn’t drawing from a fixed source list yet. We’d rather say that than name a feed we don’t actually use.
